
Alenka Zorman lives in Ljubljana, the capital of Slovenia. She's married and has one grown-up daughter. She has been writing haiku since November 1999, for pleasure, for entire freedom, to share emotion, as the way of life. Alenka writes some lyrics too. Some poems have been published in Slovenian literary bulletins and recently a poem was published at www.poetry.com. Alenka is an active member of the Haiku Club of Slovenia, the World Haiku Association, and the World Haiku Club. She is the coordinator of haiku poets from Slovenia for temps libres/free times, HASEE, and the WHA. She posts often to the WHC Haikuforum mailing list as well as www.optimism.net. Alenka received the 3rd Prize in the 3rd International Apokalipsa Haiku Contest 2000. Alenka's poetry has appeared in the loose thread: The Red Moon Anthology of English-Language Haiku, 2001.
