biography

Barry George started writing haiku "seriously" about six years ago, when he began to learn through journals like Modern Haiku and Frogpond about the community of English-language haiku poets. A recovering lawyer, he teaches English and is active in the faculty union at Community College of Philadelphia. He lives in Philadelphia, where his inspirations are city life, the Schuykill River, the falls, birds, cat Avi, kitten Naia, and wife Heidi.
