Florence Vilén lives in Sweden, works in adult education, and cares about many kinds of literature. She met Japanese haiku in commented translations long ago and has written haiku in Swedish on and off. Contact this year with the Internet made her write more extensively in English. Having people share your interests is a true stimulus. Florence had a Swedish haiku translated into Japanese for a Swedish-Japanese anthology compiled for the Japanese Imperial State Visit to Sweden last year. Previous credits include: The Heron's Nest, Haiku Harvest, still (under a pen name), World Haiku Review, Poetry In The Light and others.
