biography

Kate MacQueen is an anthropologist who was born in upstate New York and is currently ensconced in North Carolina, whence she arrived by way of Georgia, Ohio, and the Netherlands Antilles. She is a founding member of Pinecone, The North Georgia Haiku Society. As a result of an urban encounter with an American Bittern in the spring of 2000 (http://www.gos.org/sightings/ambi.html) she is an avid birder. Fortunately, birding and haiku are highly compatible.
