
Robert (Rob) Scott (b. July 17, 1967) is an Australian Haiku poet living in The Netherlands. He lived in Tokyo for 2 years (1997-1999) where he first became interested in haiku. He was and still is a member of a haiku circle led by Yasuomi Koganei in Meguro, Tokyo (MIFA). Rob also taught haiku to children aged 10-14 while living in Stockholm in 2000. Some of his students' work was published in the Yomiuri Shimbun newspaper in Japan. Rob teaches English and technical writing in The Netherlands and is married to Monika. Rob recently placed 3rd in the World Haiku Club Shiki Haiku Poems contest. He also received an honorable mention in the 3rd annual Suruga-Baika Literary Festival in Daichuji Temple, Japan. A small collection of Rob's haiku entitled Cool Relief was recently published as No. 22 of the Radish series. Some of Rob's haiku have appeared in the First Australian Haiku Anthology.
